Little More Light, Little More Down-tempo

According to David, this one's a snooze, but I know some of you never wear your glasses (LA) so you might like a little more light on the subject.

These songs don't get Danny going quite as much as the others, but he still kicks a beat or two.

Blue Man Baby

Why go to Vegas and pay $132 to see the Blue Man Group when Dan can put on a show that, according to things I've read on-line, is eerily similar to what those face-painted chaps do...

Overnight at the Hilton (I'm the King of the World!)

We left the Hansens and stayed over at the Hilton in Union Square.  It was like Vegas, the hotel.  But they let us check in even though I left my license and credit cards at home.  Oops!

We ate some delicious takeout from Farmerbrown around the way, and hit the hay.

After waking up quite rested and peaceful...

Danny plotted how he would one day own this city.

Visiting Lucia (and I Guess Her Parents Too)

This past weekend we headed up North for a long overdue visit to the young Miss Lucia Hansen.

After a grueling drive up, we arrived, did a whole lot of playing and reading,

watched Lucia practically learn to crawl,

watched David cook, then ate a delicious meal,

took a bath,

got pretty sleepy,

and finally said a bittersweet goodbye on Sunday night as we headed up to San Francisco to see Jeffrey.

The two kids seemed to really hit it off.

Come visit us soon!!

* Peter took all of these, so he's not in any of them!  Sorry Pete!

Of Course He Loves Chimps

Today, we met our friends Jon and Rain at the LA Zoo.  It was wet, cold (by Los Angeles standards), and overcast, which meant the zoo was practically empty. We could walk right up to the rail/glass at every exhibit.  We saw tigers wrestle, a giraffe try many times to get leaves off of one hard-to-reach branch, a baby orangutan messin' around, and sea lions showing off.  Danny probably laughed hardest at the chimps, studied the giraffe the hardest, and got most excited by the orangutans (especially the baby, who kept swinging by the window and pushing off the glass with his crazy orangutan feet).

First stop, sea lions...

Then, the wacky Meercat...

Next up, the tigers...

Then a tasty biscuit interlude...

Then, of course, the chimps...

This little guy and Danny really checked each other out...

That's my boy!

Next up, the giraffe...look at that tongue!!!...

(Danny:  Why doesn't the giraffe go the branch 3 feet to the right of his head?...)

Then, the best - the orangutans.  Here is the baby...

Say "Right turn, Clyde," Mom.

And lastly, the camel.

It was a good day.

Hi, Dan

Yayyyyyyy. Hi, Dan. Yayyyyyy.

Just how he likes to spend his afternoons: eating some O's, waving, and clapping (he claps cause he knows how awesome he is).
