Two Dudes in a Stroller
The nearby walk streets in Venice (where Julia Roberts lives) have an annual outdoor screening of "It's a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!" and we headed over last weekend to meet our friends Mel and Erin.
The puppet show beforehand was so ridiculous, it actually was the first time in my life I was cringing to be a liberal. It was some convoluted story, done by children (with a lot of help from some adults, I'm sure), in the most insanely wealthy, nearly all-white enclave of the United States, about "caring for all peoples" and I'm not really sure. But anyway, the cookies, hot chocolate and the movie were all tops. And Mel Brooks was in the audience.
We had a ball!
